Das Kampfgewehr ist eine Waffe im Fallout: New Vegas Add-On Gun Runners' Arsenal.
Charakteristiken
The battle rifle is the common variant of This Machine. It is a clip-fed, semi-automatic rifle chambered for the .308 round with an 8 round ammo capacity.
Due to its respectable power, but slow rate of fire, the battle rifle is best used for medium to long range attacks. However it also has a relatively high spread compared to other non-automatic rifles, making accurate long range shots much more difficult.

Infos
- The battle rifle can fire a total of about 1495 standard rounds, the equivalent of 187 reloads, from full condition before breaking.
- If the player were to shoot the battle rifle in real-life circumstances the way they do in-game, holding their left hand on the bolt carrier, it would result in a quite painful pinch as the bolt carrier cycles the next round.
- The battle rifle is slightly darker in color than This Machine.
Hinter den Kulissen
- In the early production of Fallout 3, in-game screen shots shown in Play magazine indicated a weapon similar in appearance to the battle rifle was originally planned to be included in the game, but were cut out some time in production, seeing as the weapon never appeared.
- The battle rifle was originally mentioned in the Camp McCarran weapons manifest, but there was no weapon that existed that could be labeled as a "battle rifle".
