Mentioned in John Henry Edens' broadcasts, the state was hit by the bombs, but much of its pre-War glory managed to survive and flourish. If Eden is to be believed, it managed to survive the violence and disease that blanketed the rest of the world. It proudly keeps its pre-War landmarks, such as Knob Creek, or Hodgenville. Since Eden is not human and was instantly relocated to Raven Rock and integrated as President after the oil rig was destroyed, it is likely that this statement was either made up as propaganda or based on the childhood of another president.
