ED-E (ausgesprochen Eddie) ist ein Begleiter der in der Leere lebt und im Fallout: New Vegas add-on Lonesome Road vorkommt .
Hintergrund
Bei ihrem ersten zussamentreffen mistraut der Kurier dem Roboter ED-E , der Musik aus dem Film Ralphie spielt. With an Intelligence of 6, the Courier deciphers the beeps and garble and realizes that the silo has "pretty advanced engineering capabilities" since it was able to remote-scan ED-E from the Mojave Wasteland and create copies within the Divide. If you do not pass this check, the player will still observe this, asking ED-E "So, you're like a robot clone?".
Upon joining the courier's party, the ED-E copy starts playing a log from Dr. Whitley, and continues doing so at certain "checkpoints" during the trip through the Divide. Ulysses will also use ED-E to communicate to you throughout the divide.
ED-E will also show through certain dialog choices that he misses Dr. Whitley and that he wants to be like Ralphie.

Notes
- ED-E ist einer der wenigen Begleiter die auch im Hardcore-Modus nur bewusstlos werden , da er zum beenden einer Quest benötigt wird.
- Bug or not, immediately after you repair the original ED-E in Primm, you can have access to his workbench and reloading bench even if you haven't visited Lonesome Road at all.
- After you open the Silo Blast Door Control, sometimes ED-E can get stuck in the ceiling around the stairs near the rocket.
- If you turn on the General Subtitles, ED-E's ending (composed of beeps) will be interpreted for you on the screen. The subtitles also translate in-game beeps such as 'Sneaky beeping' when entering sneak mode.
- Though it is unknown if the Courier's mysterious delivery to the Divide took on a different form before Lonesome Road, the device is confirmed to be inside the Lonesome Road ED-E during the events of the DLC as confirmed by Chris Avellone. [1]
- One of ED-E's recorded messages which involves music playing and then a gunshot. Is a reference to trailers in which an eyebot is seen floating along a road while playing Jingle, Jangle Jingle and then is suddenly hit two gun shots causing it to smoke and then go on fire. possibly explaining why ED-E is first found broken in the Mojave express office in Primm.
Appearances
The copy of ED-E appears only in the Fallout: New Vegas add-on Lonesome Road.
