Cait ist eine Käfig-Kämpferin und mögliche Begleiterin des Einzigen Überlebenden, die 2287 im Combat Zone lebt.
Hintergrund
Cait wurde Zeitleiste#2261 in eine Familie irischen1 Ursprungs hineingeboren, die sie sich von ihr distanzierte und sie misshandelte. So versuchte sie zwei mal von ihnen weg zu laufen. Das erste Mal wurde sie als Strafe draußen in einen Schuppen gesperrt. Beim zweiten Mal wurde ihr als Strafe ein Bein gebrochen. An ihrem 18ten Geburtstag wurde sie von ihren Eltern als Sklavin verkauft. Fünf Jahre lang stahl sie immer wieder kleine Mengen Kronkorken von ihren Besitzer, bis sie genug Geld beisammen hatte um sich selbst frei zu kaufen. In einem Wutanfall kehrte sie nach Hause zurück um sich an ihren Eltern zu rächen.
Irgendwann, nachdem sie ihr Zuhause verlassen hatte begann sie Psycho zu nehmen und wurde von der Droge abhängig. Irgendwann später kam sie zum Combat Zone in Boston und wurde von dem Besitzer Tommy Lonegan als Kämpferin für die Kämpfe im Käfig, die er stattfinden ließ anzutreten. So wurde sie schon bald zu einer starken und unbarmherzigen Kämpferin. In 2287 kam eine Gruppe Raider in die Gegend und zwang sie sich "Freunde zu kaufen, um sich das Leben leichter zu machen". Dadurch wurde sie misstrauisch gegenüber jedem, der ihr großzügige oder selbstlose Angebote unterbreitet.
Später erreicht der Einzige Überlebende im Combat Zone. Währenddessen ist Cait gerade dabei einen Kampf zu gewinnen und wird durch das Eindringen des Einzigen Überlebenden unterbrochen. Nachdem der Einzige Überlebende die Raider in dem Gebäude besiegt hat, spricht Tommy mit ihm über Caits Drogenabhängigkeit und bietet ihman Caits Vertrag zu übernehmen.

Auswirkungen der Handlungen des Spielers
- Maximale Zuneigung von Cait verleiht dem Einzigen Überlebenden den Perk Kampfrausch, welcher die Aktionspunkteregeneration erhöht, wenn man unter 25% der Trefferpunkte hat.
- Cait ist eine mögliche Kandidatin für eine Romanze. Diese Möglichkeit bietet sich nach dem Erreichen des höchsten Wert der Zuneigung.

Cait kann Schlösser jeder Schwierigkeitsstufe knacken. Man muss ihr dafür einfach nur im Begleiterbefehlmenü auftragen dies zu tun. Das Knacken selbst wird abhängig von der Schwierigkeit des Schlosses etwas Zeit benötigen. Um ein Schloss knacken zu können müssen sich Haarklammern in ihrem Inventar befinden.

Notizen
- She will try to comfort the player character if taken to the corpse of Nate/Nora in Vault 111.
- Cait will dislike all four of the first set of dialogue options during the Minutemen quests to help settlements with raiders.
- Cait will actively use Psycho, Jet, RadAway and other chems in her inventory. Since it was explained she was an addict when meeting her, it might be beneficial to keep her stocked up as she appears to get friendly very quickly, and it might improve her usefulness in fights.
- If you have any Psycho or Jet on Cait you can sometimes see her using it before completing her personal quest.
- Cait will react negatively after completing her personal quest "Benign Intervention" if the player character uses chems in front of her. She will berate them for being a "hypocrite" for using them after helping her to cure her Psycho addiction.
- The Sole Survivor may raise Cait's affection level by removing their own clothing and fast traveling from safe location to safe location.
- Cait "likes" when the player gets naked. Cait's affection level can be quickly raised using the Home Plate player housing in the Diamond City market by repeatedly exiting the housing, sitting in a chair for two hours and then re-entering the housing and sleeping for two hours in a bed. The affection level will be raised both when exiting and entering the housing. Drinking hard alcohol before sleeping and before waiting will speed up the process. Placing the bed as close to the exit as possible will speed up this process.
- Cait will disapprove of joining any of the factions until the second act of the main story when the Brotherhood of Steel comes in. After this she will no longer disapprove of joining the Brotherhood of Steel.
- Cait asks Takahashi to serve her a drink on their first meeting, but she doesn't get it as Takahashi only serves noodles in the Diamond City market.
- Cait's dialogue while exploring several of the vaults indicates that she is already familiar with the Vault-Tec experiments and the true purpose of the vault network.
- When replaced by certain companions, Cait is prone to make flirtatious comments, such as Piper, for whom she will say it's "too bad they can't make it a threesome," or Deacon and MacCready, whom she refers to as "handsome." She also tells Hancock that if she ever decides to "go ghoul," he'll be the one she calls.

Bugs
Cait's quest might not trigger after her confession about her addiction. Taking another companion, sending her back to a settlement, and then talking with her should trigger the quest. (It may have to do with her being flagged as a companion) For more info about this bug, read Hilfe unter Freunden.[bestätigt]- Cait will talk about wanting to "lower the dosage" if she thinks she is being followed in combat after Vault 95.[bestätigt]
- During Cait's companion quest, Cait may begin to randomly collapse as if incapacitated during the dialogue. This will continue following completion of the quest.[bestätigt]
- Ordering Cait to pick a floor safe when there is an object between the safe and Cait may sometimes cause her to pace aimlessly around the area.[bestätigt]
