Die Schneekugeln aus Fallout: New Vegas sind die Nachfolger der Wackelpuppen aus Fallout 3.
Überblick
Insgesamt können sieben Schneekugeln im Mojave-Ödland gefunden werden. Anders als die Wackelpuppen haben die Schneekugeln keinerlei Effekte auf die Fertigkeiten oder SPECIAL-Werte des Kuriers. 4 weitere Schneekugeln können in den Add-ons Dead Money, Honest Hearts, Old World Blues und Lonesome Road gesammelt werden.
Die Schneekugeln haben genau wie die Wackelpuppen ein Display. Dieses Befindet sich in der Präsidentensuite des Lucky 38. Da Mr. House ein leidenschaftlicher Sammler ist, können die Schneekugeln bei Jane gegen 2000 Kronkorken eingetauscht werden.
In jeder Schneekugel kann man die Ikonenfigur den Vault Boy finden. Wahrscheinlich handelt es sich um Werbeartikel von Vault-Tec, ähnlich wie die Wackelpuppen von der Ostküste.
Schneekugeln aus den Add-ons werden direkt zum Display befördert. Sobald man eine Schneekugel aufhebt, bekommt man 2000 Kronkorken. Lediglich für die Sierra Madre Schneekugel erhält man 2000 Sierra Madre Chips.

- Da Schneekugeln als Questgegenstand gelten, können sie nicht aus dem Inventar entfernt werden, außer man verkauft sie an Jane.
- Obwohl sie laut Pip Boy einen Pfund wiegen, haben sie jedoch als Questgegenstand keinerlei Gewicht.
- Wenn man Mr. House tötet, wird Jane verschwinden und man ist nicht mehr in der Lage, die Schneekugel aus dem Inventar zu entfernen.
- Um den Erfolg Schneekönig zu bekommen, ist es nicht nötig die vier Schneekugeln aus den Add-ons zu sammeln.
- Sobald die Schneekugeln im Display stehen, kann man nicht mehr mit ihnen interagieren.
Bugs
Manchmal bekommt man den Erfolg Schneekönig nicht. (Bevor man die letzte Schneekugel aufhebt, sollte man speichern.)
Manchmal erhält man den Erfolg nicht sofort, sondern erst wenn der nächste Erfolg freigeschalten wurde.- Hebt man die Schneekugel auf (nicht ins Inventar) und schüttelt sie, kann es passieren, das einzelne Schneeteilchen aus der Kugel fallen.
- Manchmal kann es passieren, das man nur eine Schneekugel gleichzeitig an Jane verkaufen kann.
- Die Big MT Schneekugel kann unsichtbar sein (bestätigt auf der PS3 und der XBOX 360).
