Sunset Sarsaparilla-Sternkorken ist ein seltener Gegenstand in Fallout: New Vegas.

Hintergrund

Einige Zeit nachdem der Kurier mindestens einen dieser Korken findet, wird sich ein Mann namens Malcolm Holmes, ein pensionierter Sammler, dem Spieler nähern und ihn warnen, dass die Korken bei Sammlern so hoch im Kurs stehen, dass diese für sie töten würden. Er sagt dem Spieler, dass die Leute manchmal so verrückt sein können, dass sie den Fremden angreifen, wenn sie einfach glauben, sie haben einen. Er warnt auch davor, einem Mann namens Allen Marks zu begegnen, der angeblich mindestens sechs Menschen für diese Art von Korken tötete und so etwas wie ein professioneller Sammler ist.

Die Kronkoren werden deshalb für so wertvoll gehalten, weil sie gemäß einer Legende den Zugang zu einem geheimen Schatz, der von einem Mann namens Festus bewacht wird, gewähren. Wenn man ihn nach Festus fragt, sagt Malcom, Festus bewache den Schatz seit der Zeit vor dem Großen Krieg, was ihn verdammt alt machen würde. Charakteristik

Sunset Sarsaparilla Sternkorken sind eine seltene Variante der Sunset Sarsaparilla Flasche, die einen blauen Stern auf der Unterseite des Kronkorken hat. Diese Kronkorken haben eine 1-zu-20 (5%) Chance, gefunden zu werden, wenn man eine Flasche Sunset Sarsaparilla trinkt. Ansonsten können die Kronkorken in verschiedenen Orten im Mojave-Ödland gefunden werden. Diese Kronkorken sind Teil der Quest "Die Legende des Sterns" und können deshalb nicht verkauft werden.

Sobald die Suche abgeschlossen ist und man weitere Sunset Sarsaparilla Sternkorken durch Flaschen finden sollte, werden diese als einfache Kronkorkenwährung hinzugefügt.

Zugeordneter Preis

Nach Finden von mindestens einem Sunset Sarsaparilla-Sternkorken, kann der Spieler Festus im Sunset Sarsaparilla-Hauptquartier aufsuchen, welcher einem die Quest Die Legende des Sternes gibt und wenn man ihm 50 der Sternenkorken gebracht hat auch die Quest Eine wertvolle Lektion. Diese Quest zu beenden führt den Spieler tiefer ins Gebäude, wo er den Preis für die seltenen Kronkorken einsammeln kann (etwa 1500 normale Kronkorken, 319 Spielzeug Deputysterne und Piu Piu eine einzigartige Laser Pistole)

Varianten

• Sunset Sarsaparilla - Waren im Spiel eigentlich als eigenes Item gedacht, wenn man diese jedoch aufsammelt, werden diese einfach zur Gesamtsumme der Kronkorken addiert. Sie sind allerdings im Inventar einzeln sichtbar.
• Kronkorken - Standard Nuka-Cola Kronkorken nur echt mit 21 Ecken und zählen, werden als Währeung im Ödland benutzt.
• Gefälschter Kronkorken - Sie können im Inneren der Korkenfälscher-Hütte gefunden werden. Die Gefälschten Kronkorken scheinen identisch mit den einfachen Kronkorken zu sein, außer dass sie keinen Wert besitzen und auch nicht für irgendwelche Transaktionen genutzt werden können.

Fundorte

Die folgende Liste zeigt die Fundorte von 100 Sternenkronkorken an, die in der Mojave-Wüste gefunden werden können. Darüber hinaus können diese seltenen Kronkorken gelegentlich von NPCs oder durch das Trinken von Sunset Sarsaparilla erhalten werden. Außerdem kann man durch das Töten von Malcolm Holmes direkt sechs Sternenkronkorken auf einmal bekommen. Allerdings erhält man dadurch auch negatives Karma.

Zufällige Fundorte

• 7-9 star caps can be found between Nipton and the Nipton Road Pit Stop, where the player will find Tomas and Jacklyn embroiled in a gunfight. If Tomas dies, the player can talk to Jacklyn and confront her about the Sarsaparilla star bottle caps, at which point she will attack. Killing her will enable looting 2 Star Bottle caps from her body, then 7 more from Tomas' body. If Tomas kills Jacklyn, he will not attack the player, and acquisition of all nine caps will involve pickpocketing, killing, or convincing Tomas to give up his caps. In either scenario, the victor in the scuffle may loot the star caps off their fallen opponent, enabling the player to gather all 9 caps from one person. Gunfight maybe finished when arrive. 9 caps can still be acquired from either one of them.

• Man kann ein Mini-Spiel mit Festus beginnen in dem man zufällig Sternenkronkorken gewinnen kann. Das Spiel kann unendlich oft gespielt werden, was dazuf führt, dass der Spieler einen Sternenkronkorken etwa alle 5-10 Minuten gewinnen kann.

Infos

• Benutzt man die Konsole um Jacklyn wiederzubeleben, kann man 7 weitere Sternenkronkorken im Leichnahm von Tomas finden.
• Der Sternkronkorken im Gypson Bahnhofs Depot ist nicht leicht zu stehlen. Er ist im Bürogebäude in dem hinteren Raum mit dem Gelege auf dem Eckschreibtisch, mit dem kaputten Terminal. Eine gut platzierte Spilittergranate unter den Tisch kann helfen, ihn zu finden. Das kann auch nützlich bei anderen Fundorten sein, wo die Kronkorken nicht leicht zu sehen sind, oder in unerreichbare Stellen fallen, wenn man andere Gegenstände aufhebt. Es sollte auf jeden Fall als letzer Ausweg genutzt werden, wenn man sonst nicht an die Kronkorken heran kommt.
