.45-70 Gov't ist eine Munition die ausschließlich in Fallout: New Vegas vorkommt.

Eigenschaften

Um 1870 wurde sie von der U.S. Army verwendet. Sie blieb viele Jahre als Großwildjagdmunition im Einsatz. Der Name leitet sich vom Kaliber (.45) des Geschosses und das 70 Körner Gewicht aus Schwarzpulver im inneren ab.

.45-70 Gov't Standard

Die Standardvariante der Munition. Sie ist die einzige .45-70 Gov't Munition die von NPC's verwendet wird.

.45-70 Gov't Hohlspitz

Hohlspitzgeschosse expandieren beim Aufprall und deren Splitter reißen durch Stoff, Fleisch und Organe. Dadurch schaffen sie es, dem Gegner mehr Schaden zuzufügen. Sie können allerdings, auf Grund ihres Aufbaus, keine Panzerung durchbrechen und zersplittern beim Aufprall. Daher sind sie nicht für gepanzerte Ziele geeignet.

SWC (Semi Wadcutter)

Besitzt keine Spitze wie normale Munition, sondern das Projektil sitzt sehr weit drin, lediglich eine leichte kegelförmige Erhebung ist vorhanden. Dadurch kann sie ein Maximum an Schaden austeilen. Ursprünglich entwickelt, um auf Papierziele zu schießen. SWC steht für Semi Wadcutter.
