After installing the add-on, the player will receive a radio signal in the form of a mysterious broadcast about an invitation to the "Midnight Science Fiction Feature!" at the Mojave Drive-in. After arriving, a satellite is found crashed in the middle of the drive-in lot.

- Standing in front of the projection beam does not appear to distort the image on the screen at all.
- Activating the satellite can be problematic, as waiting for the midnight showing may sometimes respawn the nearby mole rats in the distance. A Viper leader, or Viper gang member may also spawn as well. This can result in a prompt telling you that you cannot activate the satellite while you're in combat.
Bugs
The script of this quest intends to reward the certain value of XP (depend on the player's level) when the player arrived at Big Empty. However, because of the bug in the script, the player can get only 10 XP for this quest.
Hinter den Kulissen
- This is most likely a reference to the midnight movies on television in the USA in the 1950s and in theaters in the 1970s.
- This may also be a reference to The Rocky Horror Picture Show, which is introduced and closed with a song entitled Science Fiction/Double Feature.
