Charakteristika
The alien blaster is one of the most powerful weapons in the game because a critical hit is guaranteed. You will often be able to take down any foe you encounter with a single shot to the head. This weapon also has the effect of disintegrating any enemy killed with a critical shot by it, identical to a laser with the exception that the disintegration effect is colored blue instead of red.
As with the alien blaster, the ammunition used by the pistol is also unique, meaning the 140-250 alien power cells found on the alien captain cannot be found anywhere else, limiting the use of the alien blaster.
Due to its extraterrestrial origins, the alien blaster cannot be repaired with any earth weapons.
Fundort
The alien blaster is found just north of Horowitz Farmstead, but is only available to players that have the Wild Wasteland trait. If the Wild Wasteland trait is not chosen, the YCS/186 Gauss rifle will replace the alien blaster.
The alien blaster is found on the alien captain, along with 140-250 alien power cells. The captain is aided by two other aliens, all 3 are armed with laser weapons.
Notizen
- The alien captain will have this weapon in his inventory, but will not use it against the player.
- Except for cut or unused weapons, the alien blaster has the highest in-game critical multiplier (100%) and therefore guarantees a Critical Hit regardless of the player's Luck stat or critical chance modifiers.
- This gun is physically identical to the alien blaster found in Fallout 3.
- If you silently kill the alien captain, you can take the alien blaster and the other aliens will remain neutral.
- This weapon can be fired 2495 times from perfect condition before breaking, significantly more than the 222-272 cells the player can normally find.
- If switched to the Wild Wasteland trait in the Old World Blues add-on and you have already obtained the YCS/186, the alien blaster will still remain unobtainable.
- Synergies well with the Better Criticals perk, considering every hit is a critical hit, therefore every shot will have a 50% increase in critical hit damage.
- This is one of the only weapons in the game that has no spread, the other being Elijah's jury-rigged Tesla cannon.

- If you kill someone with a gun equipped and you switch the alien blaster and pick up the gun (not from their inventory) the ammunition goes in the alien blaster which the Person was holding.
