Da sind sie lang! ist ein Hauptquest in Fallout: New Vegas.

Ziele
- Die Männer finden, die versucht haben, Sie zu töten.
- (Optional) Mit Victor in Goodsprings über Ihre Rettung sprechen.

Lösungsweg
Primm
- Go to Primm, a bit south-east down the road from Goodsprings Source.
- When you arrive, you'll be stopped by an NCR trooper, who tells you Primm is off limits, and to stay on the west side of the overpass if you don't want to get shot. The east side of Primm (the side where you can see the roller coaster) has been overtaken by Convicts. Note that although they may be referred to as Powder Gangers by NCR officials, killing them does not affect your relationship with the Powder Gangers as these convicts are separate from that faction.
- If you ask the NCR for help, they'll just say it's not under their jurisdiction, and even if it was, they're desperately low on supplies and extra hands.
- Go into Primm and kill everyone who is outside (five convicts - 2 around the Vikki and Vance Casino and 3 on the tracks of broken roller coaster).(You don't have to kill the convicts on the coaster as they are far enough away that won't be able to witness the death of the 2 around the Vikki & Vance)
- Enter Vikki and Vance Casino and talk to Johnson Nash about finding the man that shot you.
- Free Deputy Beagle being held captive in the hotel and obtain his journal (this will start the quest My Kind of Town).
Note:The companion ED-E can be located in the courier office which is Johnson Nash's home. To repair ED-E you must have either 65 in Repair, sufficient spare parts (3 scrap metal, 2 sensor modules and 1 scrap electronics), or with 35 in Repair with 55 Science. Activating ED-E or talking to Johnson Nash about it opens the quest ED-E My Love.
Nipton
- Skipping past the quest My Kind of Town, head to Nipton (down the road south, then east).
- You'll find only two people, the rest have been either killed, or tortured and crucified by Caesar's Legion.
- Go into the store on the left to find the second survivor, Boxcars, who tells you that they took a few hostages, and that you need to go to Novac. Speaking to him about this opens up the quest Booted. You can also gain Karma by giving Boxcars Med-X.
- Lastly, Vulpes Inculta addresses you if you approach the town hall. He will tell you to spread word of what they have done, giving you the mission Cold, Cold Heart.
(Note: Caesar's Legion Fame can be gained when speaking to Vulpes Inculta about the events that happened at Nipton. Proceed through the dialogue asking what happened until given the dialogue to agree with the method that Vulpes used. Upon agreeing the Caesar's Legion fame will be achieved.)
Novac
- On the way to Novac you will get ambushed by several Viper Gunslingers if you travel by the road up the hill( There are 4 or 5 with 2 above you on rocks).
- At Novac, ask around and find Manny Vargas (located in the Dinky the T-Rex during the daytime).
- Go through the Dino Bite gift shop and talk to Manny:
- He will make you clear out a building to the west, the REPCONN Test Site, before he tells you anything, beginning Come Fly With Me. However if you want to skip REPCONN, just go to Manny Vargas's motel room and check out the terminal in there, it has a file called "Khan Hospitality" which tells you that they are headed to Boulder City. Players can go directly to Boulder City and talk to Jessup or use the Confirmed Bachelor perk to skip this step.
- You can use the terminal in his hotel room to read his journal logs to trigger the continuation of the quest.
- You can kill him and loot the necessary quest item.
- You can just steal holotape from his pocket.
- You can also speak to Manny Vargas about his co-worker, Boone. Speaking to Boone can open up the quest One for My Baby, making him available as a companion.
- Alternatively, instead of completing Come Fly With Me you can kill Jason Bright and his followers at REPCONN Test Site. Returning to Manny Vargas will then allow you to get the needed information.
Boulder City
- Manny will then tell you that they went to Boulder City.
- Go there and begin the quest Boulder City Showdown. About halfway through, when you talk to Jessup, you will complete the quest.
- If you can end the showdown peacefully you gain good reputation with the Great Khans and Jessup will give you a quest item, Benny's engraved cigarette lighter.

- You can complete this quest at any time by simply going inside the Tops Casino and finding Benny there.
- The Holotape on Manny/his diary entry is from someone called McMurphy, and the building you find Jessup has the corpse of McMurphy at the back of the room,it's an easy way to get a Great Khan disguise.
- If you are villified with the legion, Vulpes will attack you on sight and you will not be able to receive the quest "Cold, Cold Heart".
Hinter den Kulissen
- The name of this quest is a frequently used and parodied Western B-movie line, much like, "Let's head 'em off at the pass!"
- When you first talk to Jessup, one of the possible responses to his surprise at your survival is "I got better..." This is a reference to Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
