Bittercup

 

Bittercup lebt in Big Town.

Sie hat dort einen weniger guten Stand bei den anderen Bewohnern, da sie etwas „seltsam“ zu sein scheint. Sie erzählt oft, dass sie Geister sieht und das sie sich nicht sonderlich um ihre Aufgaben in der Stadt zu kümmern scheint. Sie sucht lieber nach Make-Up und anderen nützlichen oder unnützlichen Dingen.

Kurz nachdem sie aus Little Lamplight weggeschickt wurde, war sie ein Paar mit Pappy. Die beiden haben sich allerdings gestritten. Nach und nach hatte sie dann Verhältnisse mit anderen Bewohnern der Stadt.

Man hat die Möglichkeit mit Bittercup zu flirten. Ist dies erfolgreich, schenkt sie dem Spieler immer wieder eine Kleinigkeit, wenn man zu Besuch kommt. Meistens Kleinigkeiten wie Ersatzteile oder Munition.

Background

Through dialogue, it is revealed that she has been involved with all of the men in Big Town at one point or another. She had a romantic interest in Pappy, whom she left after arriving in Big Town, believing that he was a liar. She will give the player a random selection of items if you visit her in Big Town. On rare occasions, this item may be stimpaks.

• Big Trouble in Big Town: When the player first meets Bittercup, she will tell you that Red and Shorty have been captured by super mutants and taken to the Germantown Police building.

Effects of player actions

Unmarked quest Bittercup Runneth Over: If you become Bittercup's next lover, she'll give you things she finds in the wasteland. You can return to her once every 13 hours for a random present such as squirrel on a stick, purified water, dirty water, stimpaks, noodles, blood packs, Nuka-Cola, shotgun shells, 5mm rounds, 5.56mm rounds, 10mm rounds, .44 magnum rounds, .308 rounds, or a few caps.

Infos

• Regardless of your character's gender, if you flirt with Bittercup successfully, she will declare you her next love interest.
• It is revealed through dialogue that Bittercup wears chalk from the Wasteland on her face as makeup.
• If you give her a better weapon by reverse-pickpocketing (for example to use when defending Big Town from the super mutants) she will still be using her lead pipe later in the game.

Bittercup kommt nur in Fallout 3 vor.

Bugs

• You may keep getting ammunition from her even after saying, "I'm not even going to begin to tell you what's wrong with that question" when asked if you are seeing anyone. This also occurs with the dialogue asking if Bittercup was hitting on the player.
• When visiting Big Town, Bittercup may be found dead on the ground. The cause of her death is not clear as she may be found dead inside buildings.
