Er ist ein Handelsposten der Republik Neu Kalifornien und wurde aus behelfsmäßigen Buden und Zelten zusammengebaut. Er kann bei der Kreuzung des Highway 93 und des
Highway 95 gefunden werden. Daher der Name, denn 95 und 93 ergeben 188. Veronica Santangelo, ein Spielbegleiter, kann hier rekrutiert werden. Der Posten ist direkt nördlich vom Eldorado-Trockensee, westnordwestlich von Boulder City, und südlich von Camp Golf gelegen.
Hintergrundgeschichte
Der Handelsposten wurde von Michelle und ihrem Vater Samuel, die in Primm lebten, gegründet, nachdem die Pulverbanditen aus der RNK-JVA ausgebrochen sind und seitdem die I-15 unsicher machen. Der sicherste Weg, um auf den Strip von New Vegas zu kommen, ist der Highway 93 südlich von Goodsprings. Nachdem die Todeskrallen sich in Quarry Junction, welches sich nordöstlich von Goodsprings befindet, eingenistet haben, ist der nördliche Weg zum Strip der Tod. Bevor die Leute auf dem Strip sind, können sie noch ein paar Vorräte beim 188 Handelsposten kaufen.

Above the overpass to the north there is a very small NCR garrison with some tents (a couple of free beds inside where you can sleep). There are also a few unnamed generic NCR troops, later on at a high enough level the NCR troopers will be replaced with NCR heavy troopers equipped with heavy incinerator and super sledges.
Underneath the overpass is a Gun Runner merchant with his guards and a young boy sitting against the wall.

- Veronica Santangelo: Associated with the Brotherhood of Steel. She's also a permanent companion that gives the perk Scribe Assistant.
- Samuel: Sells food and offers repair services.
- Michelle: Sells weapons, ammunition, and food.
- Arms Merchant: Sells weapons, ammunition, weapon mods, armor and clothing, and miscellaneous items.
- Destitute Traveler: Minor NPC not involved in any quests that may occasionally appear at the location.
Unterer Bereich
Beim unteren Teil (also unter der Brücke) befinden sich folgende Personen:
- Alexander - Ein Gun Runner, der Waffen, Waffemods, verschiedene Sachen, und Munition verkauft. Seine Angebote sind nicht ebenso breit wie das Gun Runner Geschäft, aber er verkauft nicht allgemein Sachen dort.
